All Delegates

We’re very looking forward to seeing you in Launceston and surrounds for ATEC's Explore Tasmania Trade Engagement event, in proud partnership with Tourism Tasmania. 

Please see the details below to assist with event preparation and throughout the event. A reminder to also navigate through the website for all event-related updates including the overall program plus location and venues

Arrival and Departure

All delegates are required to make their own way to and from the Country Club Tasmania for the event. Please aim to:

  • Arrive: by early afternoon on Tuesday 3 September to join pre-arranged transfers to the welcome function.
  • Depart: 
    • Sellers: after the conclusion of the B2B or post-event refreshments if you choose to join them on Wednesday 4 September 
    • Buyers: Thursday 5 September following check out from the Country Club and/or the famil program (if you have been selected to participate in one). Please note that two nights' accommodation at the Country Club Tasmania have been booked for each participating buyer. Please see below for more details.

Tuesday 3 September 2024

Transfers

Transfers will be provided for all delegates between to the Country Club Tasmania and Josef Chromy Wines for the Welcome Function. Please be ready where and when indicated below to be collected and look for "Explore Tasmania 2024 - Delegate Transfers" signage in the front window to ensure you meet the right transfer. If you miss the transfer, please make your own way to Josef Chromy Wines for the commencement of the Welcome Function at 4.30pm. 

  • Date: Tuesday 3 September 2024
  • Time: 3.45pm sharp for a 4.00pm departure
  • Pick up location: Country Club Tasmania
  • Directions: Please meet outside the reception area of the Country Club Tasmania for your transfer to the Welcome Function.
  • Approximate travel time: 15-20mins arriving by 4.30pm
  • Drop off location: Josef Chromy Wines

Welcome Networking Function

All registered delegates are invited to attend the Welcome Networking Function at Josef Chromy Wines.

  • Location: Josef Chromy Wines
  • Address: 370 Relbia Rd, Relbia TAS 7258
  • Time: 4.30pm at The Pavilion for a welcome drink followed by a walk to the location of our function. Substantial canapés and drinks will be served, concluding at approximately 7.00pm. 
  • Dress code: Business casual

Transfers

Following the Welcome Function, all delegates will be transferred back to the Country Club.

Wednesday 4 September 2024

Business-to-Business (B2B) Meetings

  • Location: Clarendon & Entally Rooms, Country Club Tasmania
  • Address: Country Club Ave, Prospect Vale TAS 7250

  • There is no formal meeting schedule for this event - all buyers will meet with all sellers. 
  • There will be a total of 23 meetings throughout the day for sellers and 26 for buyers.
  • Sellers will be seated, and buyers will rotate around the room to conduct the meetings.
  • Each meeting will proceed for approximately 9 minutes with a 1-minute change over.
  • There will be no pre-allocated table numbers for sellers or starting table numbers for buyers. ATEC will direct seating arrangements on the day.
  • Dress code: Business casual
  • Parking: Complementary parking is provided onsite.

Approximate timings for the day:
  • 9.00am – Arrival and registration
  • 9.20am - Sellers to be seated at tables
  • 9.25am - Buyers to be seated at their starting tables
  • 9.30am – Welcome and meetings to commence
  • 10:55am – Morning tea (25 mins)
  • 12:30pm – Lunch (50 mins)
  • 2.20pm – Afternoon Tea (25 mins)
  • 3.45pm – Meetings conclude and final wrap up
  • 4.00pm - Buyer transfers to a post-event walk across Cataract Bridge/Reserve followed by casual networking drinks for all delegates at The Gorge Restaurant

Post-event networking refreshments hosted by ATEC & TTas

Following a busy day of B2B meetings, buyers will have the option to enjoy a picturesque stroll across Cataract Bridge/Reserve followed by casual refreshments for 1.5 hours at The Gorge Restaurant, Launceston. Please wear suitable walking shoes and bring a warm jacket with you.

Approximate timings and details:

  • 4.00pm – Depart Country Club Tasmania
  • 4.20pm - Arrival at Cataract Gorge (Basin Road carpark) for a 10-minute picturesque walk across the Cataract Bridge/Reserve to The Gorge Restaurant.
  • 4.30pm - Arrival at The Gorge Restaurant, 74 Gorge Rd, Trevallyn for a welcome drink and light refreshments. A cash bar will be available for additional beverages.
  • 6.00pm - Return transfers to the Country Club (approx. 20mins).
  • From 6.30pm - arrival at the Country Club and reminder of evening at leisure.

Sellers are welcome to join our buyer delegates for light refreshments at the Gorge Restaurant. If self-driving, please meet at the Gorge Restaurant from 4.30pm. If you are unable to make your own way to the Gorge Restaurant, please reach out to the ATEC Events team via events@atec.net.au to discuss.

Buyer Offers

If buyers plan to extend their stay outside of the event and/or famil dates, and they would like to experience product in region, local sellers have provided some offers for buyers attending this event. Please see the details listed in the 'Offers for buyers' tab on the event website here and follow the instructions listed to book directly.

Buyer Accommodation

As outlined above, two nights' accommodation has been booked for all buyers participating in the Explore Tasmania event. 

  • Location: Country Club Tasmania
  • Address: Country Club Avenue, Prospect Vale, TAS, 7250
  • Approximate travel time from Launceston Airport: 15 minutes drive
  • Check in: 2.00pm / Check out: 11.00am
  • You will be advised of your room type upon check in.
  • Breakfast the following morning is included and is available from 6.30am in Links Buffet.
  • Incidentals, optional activities, and any room upgrade is at your own expense and arrangement.

What happens if I can no longer attend?

Can I transfer my registration to another person?

  • Seller and other non-buyer delegates - yes! 
  • Buyers - it may be possible, but given travel arrangements have now been confirmed, there will likely be costs associated with making alternative arrangements. 

How should I get to and from the airport?

On arrival, buyers will need to coordinate their own transfers from Launceston Airport to the Country Club which is approximately 15 mins travel by car. Further, if transfers are not included in post-famil arrangements or buyers are not participating in a famil, they will need to coordinate their own transfers back to Launceston Airport for outbound departures.
