Welcome Dinner

Join nearly 100 buyer and seller delegates for a fabulous Welcome Dinner at Jamisons Restaurant, Fairmont Resort, Leura.

Location: Jamisons Restaurant
Address: Fairmont Resort, 1 Sublime Point Road, 2780 Leura, New South Wales
Arrival: 6.30pm in The Terrace, for a 7.00pm dinner in Jamisons Restaurant
Duration: 7.00pm - 9:00pm followed by

Drinks by the open fire Embers Grill until 9pm. A cash bar is available after that time.

Business-to-Business (B2B) Meetings

There is no formal meeting schedule for this event - all buyers will meet with all sellers.
There will be a total of 34 meetings throughout the day for sellers and 39 for buyers. Sellers will have approximately 5 meeting gaps throughout the day.
Sellers will be seated, and buyers will rotate around the room to conduct the meetings.
Each meeting will proceed for approximately 9 minutes with a 1-minute change over.
Please note that additional buyer or seller delegates will participate in meetings with the primary delegate. They do not receive their own meeting schedule (unless pre-arranged)

Parking: Complementary parking is available onsite for Explore NSW & ACT delegates.

Approximate timings for the day:

7:00am - 8:00am - Breakfast at leisure in Jamisons Restaurant for delegates staying onsite
8:00am – Arrival and registration
8.20am - Sellers to be seated at their tables
8.25am - Buyers to be seated at their starting tables
8.30am – Welcome and meetings to commence
10:20am – Morning tea (25 mins)
12:25pm – Lunch (45 mins)
2:50pm – Afternoon Tea (25 mins)
4:45pm – Meetings conclude and final wrap up
5.15pm - Return transfers to Central Station, Haymarket with Brighton Coach
Please note: All delegates will be required to check out of their room and store baggage with resort staff PRIOR to the commencement of the B2B.

Relative to marketing collateral and in an effort to be more sustainable ATEC:

Encourages all delegates to "go green" and bring their marketing collateral electronically on their iPad/laptop. Please ensure you come fully charged on the day. There will be charging points within the room.
Discourages the need for prizes, giveaways etc. in an effort to reduce waste and our carbon footprint for the event.
Advises that no pull up banners or display signage is permitted.

Transfers

Premium coach transfers will be provided by Brighton Coach to and from the Blue Mountains for all delegates that require one. Please be ready where and when indicated below to be collected. Please look for "Explore NSW & ACT 2024 - Delegate Transfers" signage in the front window to ensure you meet the right transfer. If you miss the transfer, you will need to make your own travel arrangements at your own cost.

To the Blue Mountains

Date: Wednesday 26 June 2024
Time: 1.30pm sharp for a 2.00pm departure
Pick up location: Central Station, Haymarket (Western Forecourt, Coach Bay 8)
Directions: Please go to the Central Station clock tower exit of Central Train Station, Haymarket. Across the car park you will see coach bay 8. The coach company is Brighton Coach. Please see below for image reference.
Approximate travel time: 1.5 hours arriving by 4pm

Returning from the Blue Mountains

Date: Thursday 27 June 2024
Time: Approx. 5.30pm - 5.45pm departure
Pick up location: Bus parking bay, Fairmont Resort, Leura
Approximate travel time: 1.5 hours arriving by 7.30pm
Drop off location: Central Station, Haymarket (Western Forecourt, Coach Bay 8)

Self-drivers

Complementary transfers as above have been arranged for the majority of delegates attending Explore NSW & ACT. If you have not already done so, and you elect to self drive to and from the event venue, it is vital that you advise events@atec.net.au prior to midnight Sunday 23 June 2024. Otherwise we will expect to see you ready and waiting as per the instructions above.

Please note: Transfers have not been arranged for sellers who selected the "No welcome function, accommodation or transfers" option or anyone who is a "Networking only" delegate.

Complementary parking is available for the duration of the event at the Fairmont Resort if self-drivers require.

Accommodation

Accommodation has been coordinated for the night of Wednesday 26 June in a Classic Room with 1 King bed for all buyer, seller and new product pathway delegates who registered to stay overnight.
Each room includes breakfast for one guest, complementary parking and wifi.
Incidentals, optional activities, room upgrades and stays outside this time is at your own expense and arrangement. This includes porterage at $8.00 per person or $16.00 per room per trip. Any delegates that would like to charge to their room must see the Fairmont Resort front office to provide a credit card once the group check in is complete.
Check in is from 3pm. Check in will be coordinated as a group for all delegates arriving by pre-arranged transfers. If you plan to self-drive, please independently check in advising the Resort you are part of the Explore NSW & ACT group.
Check out is 11am. All delegates are requested to check out and store luggage at the direction of Resort staff prior to the commencement of the B2B meetings on Thursday 27 June 2024.

Optional activities - Wednesday 26 June 2024

The Fairmont Resort provides multiple optional activities for guests to enjoy. As the Explore NSW & ACT transfers will arrive by approximately 4pm on Wednesday 26 June, there may be time to enjoy some resort activities prior to the Welcome Dinner. Please visit Resort concierge to arrange any optional activities which may include a scenic walk or iceskating ($25/adult). Please visit Blue Mountains Iceskating to view session times and make a booking.

Alternatively, come and join us from 4.45 - 5.45pm on the Red Double Decker bus to enjoy a pre-dinner drink while watching a beautiful Blue Mountains sunset from Cliff Drive. Learn a little of what the Mountains has to offer, including driving past the recently developed Night Lit Walk courtesy of the local hop on hop off bus – Blue Mountains Explorer Bus. Meet just inside the main entry doors of Fairmont Resort at 4.40pm for a 4.45pm sharp departure from the front portico.

Can I transfer my registration to another person?

It may be possible, but given travel arrangements have now been confirmed, there will likely be costs associated with making alternative arrangements. Please contact events@atec.net.au to discuss

What is the weather like in the Blue Mountains during June?

As the event is being held in June, the weather will be cold and fresh in the Blue Mountains. Please ensure you pack appropriately with plenty of warm clothing including but not limited to warm jackets/coats. Click here to keep an eye on the forward weather forecast!
