We’re very looking forward to seeing you in the Swan Valley for ATEC's Explore Western Australia Trade Engagement event, in proud partnership with Tourism Western Australia. 

Please see the details below to assist with event preparation and throughout the event. A reminder to also navigate through the website for all event-related updates including the overall program plus location and venues

We encourage delegates to attend all the elements of the event applicable to them, noting that alcohol will at times be served. We strongly discourage driving under the influence of alcohol and remind all delegates of their obligations under state laws. We encourage buyers to utilise the available coach transfers and for self-driving sellers to please keep this in mind and utilise the Swan Valley accommodation offers available. 

Please be advised that sellers are expected to make their own way to and from the various elements of the event, however if you are unable to, please contact the ATEC Events team via events@atec.net.au.

Buyer Transfers

Premium coach transfers will be provided by Pinnacle Coachlines from Perth CBD to the Swan Valley, return, for all buyer delegates that require one. Please be ready where and when indicated below to be collected. Please look for "Explore WA 2024 - Delegate Transfers" signage in the front window to ensure you meet the right transfer. If you miss the transfer, you will need to make your own travel arrangements at your own cost.

Pinnacle Coachlines transfers to the Swan Valley

  • Time: 3.00pm for 3.30pm sharp departure
  • Pick up location: Barrack Square, Barrack Street Jetty, Perth 
  • Pick up instructions: Please meet at the Coach Bay located along Riverside Drive (outside the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel)
  • Approximate travel time: 
    • To Sandalford Wines: 30 minutes' drive, arriving by 4.15pm
    • Between Sandalford Wines and The Vines Resort: 20 minutes' drive, arriving by 8.30pm

Sandalford Experience for buyers

Sandalford Wines is one of Western Australia's oldest, largest and most distinguished producers of premium wine, with a history in the Swan Valley linked to the time of European settlement.

Prior to the Welcome Networking Function, buyers will enjoy a winery tour and tasting in the Vintage Room at Sandalford Wines.

Welcome Networking Function - All delegates

All registered delegates are invited to attend the Welcome Networking Function at Sandalford Wines. Join us for pre-dinner drinks on the Estate Decking followed by a 3-course dinner in the Estate Room.

  • Location: Sandalford Wines
  • Address: 3210 W Swan Rd, Caversham WA 6055
  • Time: 5.00pm for drinks followed by dinner, concluding at approximately 8.00pm.
  • Sellers are expected to make their own way to and from this function.
  • Dress code: Business casual

Pinnacle Coachline transfers to buyer accommodation

Following the conclusion of the Welcome Networking Function at Sandalford Wines, buyers will be transferred by Pinnacle Coachlines to The Vines Resort for overnight accommodation. 

  • Location: The Vines Resort
  • Address: Verdelho Dr, The Vines WA 6069
  • Approximate travel time: 20 minutes' drive, arriving by 8.30pm
  • ATEC has coordinated the accommodation bookings, and you will be advised of your room type upon check in.
  • Breakfast the following morning is included.
  • Incidentals, optional activities, and any room upgrade is at your own expense and arrangement.

Buyers - Breakfast, check out and transfers to Mandoon Estate

Breakfast is included in your stay and is available from Muscats Restaurant & Bar from 7.00am. Please check out and meet the coach for transfers to the B2B meetings at Mandoon Estate. 

The Vines Resort has an 18-hole mini golf course, and they will leave some clubs and balls in case anyone would like to have an early morning putt. The resort is also stunning early in the morning, and they recommend navigating around the grounds taking in all the lovely golf fairways, gardens and the resident kangaroos. 

  • Time: 8.00am sharp departure.  If you miss the transfer, you will need to make your own travel arrangements at your own cost.
  • Pick up location: Please meet in the hotel lobby - further instructions will be provided.
  • Approximate travel time: 20 minutes' drive, arriving by 8.30am.
  • Please note that your luggage will be stored at Mandoon Estate during the B2B day and then loaded back onto the coach when it returns to collect and transfer the buyers back to Perth CBD.

Business-to-Business (B2B) Meetings - All delegates

  • Location: Mandoon Estate
  • Address: 10 Harris Rd, Caversham WA 6055
  • Function Space: Wild Swan at Mandoon Estate. Please look for signage.
  • There is no formal meeting schedule for this event - all buyers will meet with all sellers. 
  • There will be a total of 35 meetings throughout the day for buyers. Sellers will have 28 meetings with approximately 7 free appointments throughout the day. We recommend this time be used to follow up on notes from the meetings and prepare for any meetings to come.
  • Sellers will be seated, and buyers will rotate around the room to conduct the meetings.
  • Each meeting will proceed for approximately 9 minutes with a 1-minute change over.
  • Please note that additional buyer or seller delegates will participate in meetings with the primary delegate. They do not receive their own meeting schedule.
  • There will be no pre-allocated table numbers for sellers or starting table numbers for buyers. ATEC will direct seating arrangements on the day.
  • Dress code: Business casual.
  • Parking: Complementary parking is available behind the Homestead Brewery on site.

Approximate timings for the day:
  • 8:30am – Arrival and registration
  • 8.50am - Sellers to be seated at tables
  • 8.55am - Buyers to be seated at their starting tables
  • 9.00am – Welcome and meetings to commence
  • 10:40am – Morning tea (25 mins)
  • 12:35pm – Lunch (45 mins)
  • 2:50pm – Afternoon Tea (25 mins)
  • 4.35pm – Meetings conclude, final wrap up, and group photo
  • 4.45pm - Happy hour drinks on the Homestead Brewery Deck
  • 5.30pm - Delegates to depart. Return transfers for buyers with Pinnacle Coachlines to Perth CBD.

Relative to marketing collateral and in an effort to be more sustainable ATEC:

  • Encourages all delegates to "go green" and bring their marketing collateral electronically on their iPad/laptop. Please ensure you come fully charged on the day. There will be charging points within the room.
  • Discourages the need for prizes, giveaways etc. in an effort to reduce waste and our carbon footprint for the event.
  • Advises that no pull up banners or display signage is permitted.

Buyer transfers with Pinnacle Coachlines to Perth accommodation (for those participating in the famils)

  • Time: 5.30pm departure from Mandoon Estate.
  • Pick up location: Outside the main entrance of Mandoon Estate.
  • Approximate travel time: 30 minutes' drive, arriving at 6.00pm.
  • Arrival location: Novotel Perth Murray Street
  • Address: 388 Murray St, Perth WA 6000
  • ATEC has coordinated the accommodation bookings, and you will be advised of your room type upon check in.
  • The remainder of this evening is at your leisure.
Buyer Accommodation - Wednesday 14 & Thursday 15 August 2024  

For the buyers that are staying on and participating in the Tourism Western Australia hosted day famil program, ATEC has coordinated your accommodation for the nights of Wednesday 14 and Thursday 15 August. 

  • Location: Novotel Perth Murray Street
  • Address: 388 Murray St, Perth WA 6000
  • ATEC has coordinated the accommodation bookings, and you will be advised of your room type upon check in.
  • Breakfast both mornings is included and is available from 6.30am.
  • Incidentals, optional activities, and any room upgrade is at your own expense and arrangement.

Self-drivers

Western Australia sellers are expected to coordinate their own travel to and from each element of the event. If, however, you are unable to, please contact the ATEC Events Team via events@atec.net.auComplementary parking is available at each venue for the duration of the event. We strongly encourage the responsible consumption of alcohol.

What happens if I can no longer attend?

Can I transfer my registration to another person?

It may be possible, but given travel arrangements have now been confirmed, there will likely be costs associated with making alternative arrangements. Please contact events@atec.net.au to discuss.

What is the weather like in Perth and the Swan Valley in August?

As the event is being held in August, the weather will hover between 15 to 20 degrees during the day, and average around 8 to 11 degrees overnight. Please ensure you pack appropriately with plenty of warm clothing including but not limited to warm jackets/coats.
