Registrations and ticketing:

Are registrations still open?

Yes and no! Full delegate registrations including B2B have now closed. However tickets for the Welcome Function, Conference and Gala will remain open until midnight Wednesday 16th November 2022. Please click here to purchase.

Can I buy tickets at the door?

All tickets must be purchased in advance, online via our official event registration pages.

What happens if I can no longer attend?

Can I transfer my registration to another person?

Seller and other non-buyer delegates - yes!
Buyers - it may be possible, but given travel arrangements have now been confirmed, there will likely be costs associated with making transfer arrangements.

Planning ahead:

Where should I stay?

Buyers - accommodation for your stay in Cairns will be covered from Monday 21st November – Thursday 24th November/Friday 25th November – depending on whether you are participating in a touring day activity on Thursday 24th November. Should you wish to extend your stay outside of these dates, this will be at an additional personal cost.
Sellers, other delegates and buyers travelling outside the official MP22 program will need to coordinate their own accommodation. Please click here for a list of MP22’s accommodation partners.

How should I get to and from the airport?

Buyers - airport transfers will be provided to and from your allocated hotel and will be coordinated with your booked flights. Again, if you choose to extend your stay outside of the official MP22 dates for personal reasons (outside of famils), airport transfers will need to be independently coordinated at your own expense.
Sellers, other delegates and buyers travelling outside the official MP22 program will need to coordinate their own airport transfers. Please click here to books and secure a 25% discount with our official partner, Exemplar Coaches and Limousines.

(Buyers only) I need to change my travel arrangements, what should I do?

As TEQ is coordinating all travel and flight arrangements, please contact your designated TEQ travel coordinator in the first instance.

How do I get to and from my hotel and the event venues?

Cairns is a walking city! Most hotels and venues for MP22 are all within a short walking distance from one another so be sure to pack comfortable shoes to help you get around with ease. That said, Cairns is a hot and humid destination so transfers will be available to and from select hotels to attend key events i.e. the Welcome Function, at the close of each conference session and to the Gala Finale. Buyers will be offered additional transfers to the buyer invite only event components.  All information on transfer times, pick up and drop off locations will be available in the MP22 mobile event app.

What is the dress code?

As MP22 will be hosted in hot and tropical Cairns, the dress code has been selected appropriate for the weather.

B2B meetings and conference sessions: smart casual with a light jacket or jumper as the Cairns Convention Centre is air conditioned
CEO Forum: smart casual
Gala finale:  our gala function is a little different this year! And, in keeping with our tropical host destination, our Gala will be a casual, cocktail style event at the Salt House. The theme for the event is "Tropi-Cool", so come dressed in your favourite bright/floral/tropical cocktail number and be ready to boogie!

What else should I pack?

Cairns is a tropical destination and November is typically hot and humid! As part of this, it can be sunny one minute then raining the next, so be prepared for all weather conditions. Consider packing a raincoat, umbrella, cool clothing plus comfortable walking shoes.

I'm keen to explore Cairns & Great Barrier Reef outside of the official MP22 program, what do you recommend I book?

ATEC’s fantastic North Queensland members have offered a range of exciting activities that are available during MP22, plus special industry arrangements for Thursday 24/11/22.

Tell me more about the B2B workshops?

This component of the event involves two sessions of 27 1:1 commercial pre-scheduled appointment sessions between Buyer and seller delegates. Sellers will have a designated table in the workshop room (which you can brand how you’d like). In the lead up to MP22, delegates have already had the opportunity to preference and pre-select their appointment schedule. At the end of each 8-minute session buyers will move to the next table listed on their schedules. Seller delegates are allocated either an AM session (8am – 12.30pm) OR session PM session (1.10pm – 5.45pm) on Tuesday 22/11/22. Buyer delegates attend both sessions, with an opportunity of 54 appointments.

As a seller delegate, what marketing collateral should I bring?

In an effort to be more sustainable we are encouraging all delegates to "go green" and bring their marketing collateral electronically on their iPad/laptop. Please ensure you come fully charged on the day, however, there will be charging stations available if required. 
We are also discouraging the need for prizes, giveaways etc. in an effort to reduce waste and our carbon footprint for the event. 
Please note that no pull up banners or display signage are permitted unless you are an STO or Service Provider Partner with an allocated exhibition space.

As a seller delegate, what should I do during the time I’m not attending B2B appointments on Tuesday 22/11/22?

The MP22 program includes several supplier forums and presentations that will be held at the Cairns Convention Centre. These sessions will run concurrently to the B2B meetings. This will enable sellers who have meetings in the morning to attend the afternoon sessions and vice versa. Click here to view the session times and topics.
