We’re very looking forward to seeing you in the Fleurieu for ATEC's Explore South Australian Trade Engagement event, in proud partnership with Fleurieu Peninsula Tourism and the South Australian Tourism Commission. 

Please see details below to assist with event preparation and throughout the event. Transfers

Complementary premium coach transfers will be provided by Sealink to and from Adelaide CBD for all delegates that require one. Please be ready where and when indicated below to be collected. Please look for "Explore SA 2024 - Delegate Transfers" signage in the front window to ensure you meet the right transfer. If you miss the transfer, you will need to make your own travel arrangements at your own cost.

Please note that we encourage all delegates to make the most of all elements of the event, noting that the Destination Showcase will feature food, wine and beer tastings. We strongly discourage driving under the influence of alcohol and remind all delegates of their obligations under state laws. We do however encourage utilising available transfers and accommodation offers available.

Sealink transfers to the Fleurieu Peninsula

  • Time: 1.30pm sharp for a 2.00pm departure
  • Pick up location: Adelaide Central Bus Station, Franklin Street, Adelaide (opposite Adelaide Central Markets)
  • Approximate travel time: 
    • To Beresford Estate: 1 hour arriving by 3.00pm
    • Between Beresford Estate and Chalk Hill Wines / Never Never: 10 - 15 minutes arriving by 4.45pm
    • Between Chalk Hill Wines / Never Never and McCracken Resort: 45 minutes arriving by 8.15pm

Destination Showcase

Join nearly 70 buyer and seller delegates for a fabulous Destination Showcase throughout the Fleurieu Peninsula, South Australia.  Recommended attire is business casual throughout.

Location # 1 

  • Location: Beresford Estate 
  • Address: 252 Blewitt Springs Rd, McLaren Flat SA 5171
  • Arrival: 3.00pm at the Tasting Pavilion (just off the main road). For self-drivers, please meet in the car park on Blewitt Springs Road at Beresford Estate at 3.00pm sharp.
  • Duration & inclusions: 3.00pm - 4.30pm for two rotating experiences of 35 - 40 minutes each. Delegates will be pre-allocated across two groups and shuttled between venues.
    • Tasting Pavilion - Wine tasting and accommodation inspection
    • Beresford Estate House - Beer tasting experience 
Location # 2

  • Location: Chalk Hill Wines / Never Never Distilling
  • Address: 56 Field St, McLaren Vale SA 5171
  • Arrival: 4.45pm arrival at the Chalk Hill Collective. All delegates to meet and greet here (whether part of the group transfer or self-driving)
  • Duration: 4.45pm - 7.30pm for Chalk Hill Collective food and wine experience highlighting Fleurieu food and wine.
  • Following the conclusion of the event, delegates will either transfer to the McCracken Resort via pre-arranged coach or make their own arrangements to the resort if they have independently booked accommodation or return to Adelaide.

Buyer only breakfast

  • Location: Encounter + Baudins, McCracken Resort

  • Arrival: 7.30am buffet breakfast, for an 8am presentation from Fleurieu Peninsula Tourism, G'Day Group, SATC and ATEC
  • Duration: 7.30am - 9.00am. Following breakfast, buyers will be directed to the Conference Room for B2B registration. 

Business-to-Business (B2B) Meetings

  • Location: Conference Room, McCracken Resort
  • Address: McCracken Dr, Victor Harbor SA 5211

  • There is no formal meeting schedule for this event - all buyers will meet with all sellers. 
  • There will be a total of 27 meetings throughout the day for both sellers and buyers.
  • Sellers will be seated, and buyers will rotate around the room to conduct the meetings.
  • Each meeting will proceed for approximately 9 minutes with a 1-minute change over.
  • Please note that additional buyer or seller delegates will participate in meetings with the primary delegate. They do not receive their own meeting schedule (unless pre-arranged).
  • There will be no pre-allocated table numbers for sellers or starting table numbers for buyers. ATEC will direct seating arrangements on the day.

Approximate timings for the day:
  • 7:30am - 9.00am - Breakfast 
    • In Encounter + Baudin for buyers
    • In the McCracken Bar and Grill for seller delegates staying onsite
  • 9:00am – Arrival and registration
  • 9.20am - Sellers to be seated at tables
  • 9.25am - Buyers to be seated at their starting tables
  • 9.30am – Welcome and meetings to commence
  • 10:50am – Morning tea (25 mins)
  • 12:25pm – Lunch (45 mins)
  • 2:20pm – Afternoon Tea (25 mins)
  • 3.45pm – Meetings conclude, final wrap up, group photo and refreshments
  • 4.45pm - Return transfers to Adelaide Airport and Adelaide Central Bus Station, with Sealink
  • Please note: All delegates will be required to check out of their room and store baggage with resort staff PRIOR to the commencement of the B2B.

Relative to marketing collateral and in an effort to be more sustainable ATEC:

  • Encourages all delegates to "go green" and bring their marketing collateral electronically on their iPad/laptop. Please ensure you come fully charged on the day. There will be charging points within the room.
  • Discourages the need for prizes, giveaways etc. in an effort to reduce waste and our carbon footprint for the event.
  • Advises that no pull up banners or display signage is permitted.

Additional Information

Self-drivers

South Australian based buyers and operators are welcome to self-drive to each element of the event if they choose to. Complementary parking is available at each venue for the duration of the event if self-drivers require. We strongly encourage the responsible consumption of alcohol. 

There is however ample capacity for all Explore SA delegates (buyers and sellers) to join our complementary transfers, to make the most of the entire event. These have been arranged on a hop on/ off basis. There is no need to alert us as to whether you will or will not join the transfers but each departure will leave sharply as directed. If you wish to take advantage of these transfers we will expect to see you ready and waiting as per the instructions above.

Buyer Accommodation

  • Accommodation has been coordinated and pre-allocated for all buyers for the night of Wednesday 23 July at the McCracken Resort.
  • Breakfast is included as part of the buyer breakfast. 
  • Incidentals, optional activities, room upgrades and stays outside this time is at your own expense and arrangement. Any delegates that would like to charge to their room must see the McCracken front office to provide a credit card once the group check in is complete.
  • Check in is from 3pm. Check in will be coordinated as a group for all delegates arriving by pre-arranged transfers and following the Destination Showcase. If you plan to self-drive, please independently check in advising the Resort you are part of the Explore SA group.
  • Check out is 11am. All delegates are requested to check out and store luggage at the direction of Resort staff prior to the commencement of the B2B meetings on Wednesday 24 July 2024.

What happens if I can no longer attend?

Can I transfer my registration to another person?

It may be possible, but given travel arrangements have now been confirmed, there will likely be costs associated with making alternative arrangements. Please contact events@atec.net.au to discuss.

What is the weather like on the Fleurieu during July?

As the event is being held in July, the weather will be cool and fresh on the Fleurieu. Please ensure you pack appropriately with plenty of warm clothing including but not limited to warm jackets/coats. Click here to keep an eye on the forward weather forecast!
