We’re very looking forward to seeing you in the Southern Highlands for ATEC's Explore NSW & ACT Trade Engagement event, in proud partnership with Destination NSW & VisitCanberra.  

Please see details below to assist with event preparation and throughout the event. A reminder to also navigate through the website for all event related updates including the overall program. Please contact events@atec.net.au if you have any questions or queries that are not addressed below nor on the event website.

Please note that buyers are expected to attend each element of the event including both days of B2B meetings and the Welcome Networking Function. The utilisation of transfers is optional.

Accommodation for interstate buyers

Accommodation (including breakfast) has been booked for buyers travelling from interstate to attend Explore NSW & ACT at Vibe Hotel Sydney111 Goulburn Street, Sydney NSW 2000. Please make your own way to the hotel and check in from 3.00pm. ATEC has coordinated these bookings directly with the hotel.

Brighton coach transfers to the Southern Highlands

Business-to-Business (B2B) Meetings - Day 1

  • Venue: Park Proxi Gibraltar
  • Address: 7 Boronia Street, Bowral, NSW, 2576
  • Room Location: Gibraltar Ballroom
  • F&B:  Morning and afternoon tea will be served in Harvey's Den, close to the Gibraltar Ballroom. Lunch will be served in The Gallery.
  • There is no formal meeting schedule for this event - all buyers will meet with all sellers. 
  • There will be a total of 29 meetings throughout the day for buyers and 32 for sellers. Buyers will have some spare appointments throughout the day.
  • Sellers will be seated, and buyers will rotate around the room to conduct the meetings.
  • Each meeting will proceed for approximately 9 minutes with a 1-minute change over.
  • Please note that additional delegates will participate in meetings with the primary delegate. They do not receive their own meeting schedule.

Approximate timings for the day:
  • 10.00am – Arrival, registration and morning tea
  • 10.20am - Sellers to be seated at their tables
  • 10.25am - Buyers to be seated at their starting tables
  • 10.30am – Welcome and meetings to commence
  • 12.35pm – Lunch (45 mins)
  • 3.10pm - Afternoon tea (25 mins)
  • 5.15pm – Meetings conclude
  • 5.30pm - Welcome Networking Function commences

Welcome Networking Function

Join more than 100 buyer and seller delegates for a fabulous Welcome Networking Function, showcasing beautiful local produce from the Southern Highlands.  Recommended attire is business casual throughout.

Accommodation
Following the conclusion of the event, buyers will check into their accommodation at Park Proxi Gibraltar, which is included in the event registration fee. The remainder of the evening will be at leisure. Harvey's Bar & Terrace is open until 9.30pm for additional refreshments.

  • 2.05pm - Afternoon tea (25 mins)
  • 3.40pm – Meetings conclude and post-event refreshments will be served
  • 4.30pm - All delegates to depart on coaches, famils or via their own transport

Return Brighton coach transfers to Sydney

Return transfers to Sydney will be provided for those requiring them following the conclusion of the B2B meetings. Drop offs will be offered at Sydney Domestic Airport (stop 1) as well as Vibe Hotel Sydney (stop 2).

Additional Information

Accommodation
  • Buyers - one nights' accommodation including breakfast for Monday 18 August at Park Proxi Gibraltar, Bowral, 7 Boronia Street, Bowral, NSW, 2576 is included in your registration fee. ATEC has coordinated these bookings directly with the hotel.
  • Interstate buyers - an additional nights accommodation with breakfast has been booked for Sunday 17 August at Vibe Hotel Sydney,  111 Goulburn Street, Sydney NSW 2000 to allow you to join the 8.00am coach transfer on Monday 18 August. ATEC has coordinated these bookings directly with the hotel.
What happens if I can no longer attend?

Can I transfer my registration to another person?

It may be possible but given travel and famil arrangements have now been confirmed, there will likely be costs associated with making alternative arrangements. 

As stated in our terms and conditions, there will be a delegate change fee of $150 + GST. Please contact events@atec.net.au to discuss. 

What is the weather like in the Southern Highlands during August?

August is a cosy and cool time of year to visit the Southern Highlands of NSW. Average temperature range: daytime 14C; nights 3C-6C. Please pack warm layers for the early mornings/later in the afternoons when it cools down.  Click here to keep an eye on the forward weather forecast
