As of Monday 10 March 2025, Queensland Showcase is still proceeding as planned in Sydney from 11-12 March 2025.


We’re very looking forward to seeing you in Sydney for ATEC's Queensland Showcase event, in proud partnership with Tourism and Events Queensland. 

Please see the details below to assist with preparation and for during the event. A reminder to also navigate through the website for all event-related updates including the overall program, location and venues, and accommodation rates.

New Product Workshop | Tuesday 11 March 2025 | 8.15am - 5.30pm

Location: Dockside - Balcony Level, Cockle Bay Wharf, 2 Wheat Road, Sydney


Arrival and Departure

  • All delegates are required to make their own way to and from Dockside - Balcony Level, Cockle Bay Wharf, 2 Wheat Road, Sydney for the event. 
  • We strongly recommend utilising public transport / Uber / taxis to reach the event venue.
  • Walk along the Foreshore towards the Aquarium. At the centre of Cockle Bay Wharf is a fountain featuring Steel Brolgas. Head past the fountain towards the right-hand side (near Lindt Café) and take the escalators up 1 level. Dockside is directly ahead on The Balcony level.

New Product Workshop

Event structure 

  • The structure of the New Product Workshop will include a total of 36 x one-on-one Business-to-Business (B2B) meetings throughout the day.
  • New to international product sellers will meet with ATEC buyers who have indicated they are keen to contract new business.
  • There is no formal meeting schedule - buyers will meet with new to international product sellers in a rotational format throughout the day. Additional buyer delegates will conduct the meetings with the primary buyer delegates. 
  • Due to the ratio of buyers to new to international product sellers, you may not meet with all of them and have a couple of spare appointments throughout the day. We therefore encourage you to use any networking time to chat to those you may not officially have the chance to meet with.
  • The meetings will run for 10 minutes each with a 1-minute break in-between.
  • As the meetings will only proceed for 10 minutes, we recommend keeping the conversation to introductions and high-level discussions, followed by post event follow ups with further details.
  • New to international product sellers will be seated at their tables, and buyers will move around the room to conduct the meetings.
  • Training mentors and RTO/LTO partners will be in attendance to provide guidance and support to the new to international product sellers.
  • A list of the new to international product sellers attending is attached HERE to assist with planning and preparation.
  • Contact lists will be shared following the event.
  • Dress code: Business casual

Approximate timings for the day:
  • 8.15am – Arrival and registration
  • 8.35am - New to international product sellers to be seated at their tables
  • 8.40am - Buyers to be seated at their starting tables
  • 8.45am - Welcome and housekeeping 
  • 9.00am - B2B meetings to commence (Appointments 1 - 9) 
  • 10:40am – Morning tea (25 mins)
  • 11.05am - B2B meetings to continue (Appointments 10 - 18) 
  • 12:40pm – Lunch (1 hour)
  • 1.40pm - B2B meetings to continue (Appointments 19 - 27)
  • 3.20pm – Afternoon Tea (25 mins)
  • 3.45pm - B2B meetings to continue (Appointments 28 - 36)
  • 5.25pm – B2B meetings conclude
  • 5.30pm - Welcome networking function to commence - further details provided below.
Food & beverage:
Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be served at Dockside in L'Aqua - The Roof Terrace, Cockle Bay Wharf.

Luggage:
A cloak room will be available to store luggage/belongings on the day if required.

Welcome Networking Function | Tuesday 11 March 2025 | 5.30pm - 7.30pm

Location: Dockside - Gold Room, Cockle Bay Wharf, 2 Wheat Road, Sydney 

Following the B2B meetings, join participating buyers and ATEC Queensland seller members for the Queensland Showcase Welcome Networking Function, involving two hours of great food, drinks and networking in the Gold Room at Dockside.


Accommodation 

The buyers travelling from inter-state and who require accommodation for the night of Tuesday 11 March should have received the booking confirmation details directly from the Adina Apartment Hotel Sydney Darling Harbour. Business-to-Business (B2B) Meetings | Wednesday 12 March 2025 | 8.15am - 6.30pm

B2B Meetings

  • Primary buyer delegates will have received a copy of their final meeting schedule with sellers. Please have a copy printed for the day or be able to access to it electronically. We will be unable to print any documents on the day.
  • Additional buyer delegates will conduct the meetings with the primary buyer delegates. They do not receive their own schedule.
  • The meetings will run for 10 minutes each with a 1-minute break in-between.
  • Sellers will be seated whilst buyers will move around the space to meet with the sellers.
  • A list of all the registered sellers attending is attached HERE to assist with planning and preparation.
  • Contact lists will be shared following the event.
