The Gold Coast offers a range of transport options. For delegates flying into Gold Coast Airport, most venues are just a short drive away, with shuttle services available. Public transport, including buses and the G:link light rail, provides quick and affordable travel across the city. Rideshare services, taxis, and the scenic ‘Hopo’ ferry, which connects key locations along the waterways, are also great ways to get around.

If you prefer to explore on your own, car hire options are available, and some venues are walkable from nearby accommodation. We’ve provided details on parking, travel times, and special transport services to ensure stress-free planning, so you can focus on enjoying the event!

Hopo – Hop On Hop Off Ferry Service

The Hopo Ferry Service offers a convenient and scenic way to travel between key locations for the duration of Meeting Place 2024. With stops at HOTA, Marina Mirage, Surfers Paradise, and Sea World, the Hopo ferry provides an excellent option for avoiding traffic while enjoying picturesque views of the Gold Coast’s waterways.

The Hopo service runs daily, with ferries operating approximately every hour, making it a flexible transport option for event attendees. Key details to note include:

Translink 50 Cent Fares

During Meeting Place 2024, delegates can take advantage of Translink’s special 50 cent fare offer, providing an affordable and convenient way to travel on public transport across Southeast Queensland. The reduced fare applies to eligible journeys on buses, trains, and ferries within specific travel zones, making it a budget-friendly option for getting around the Gold Coast and surrounding areas during the event.
