Can I transfer my registration to another person?

  • Seller and other non-buyer delegates - yes!
  • Buyers - it may be possible, but given travel arrangements have now been confirmed, there will likely be costs associated with making alternative arrangements.

Planning ahead:

Where should I stay?

  • Buyers - accommodation for your stay in Adelaide will be provided from Monday 30 October – Thursday 2 November 2023 (3 nights) in one of the MP23 Partner hotels. Buyers will be advised of their accommodation allocation a minimum of two weeks prior to the event. Any additional arrangements outside of these dates will need to independently arrange and funded.
  • Sellers, other delegates and buyers travelling outside the official MP23 program will need to coordinate their own accommodation arrangements. Please click here for a list of MP23’s accommodation partners.

How should I get to and from the airport?

All delegates will need to coordinate their own transfers to / from the Adelaide CBD including to/from Adelaide Airport which is approximately 15 mins travel by car to the CBD.

(Buyers only) I need to change my travel arrangements, what should I do?

As SATC is coordinating all famil program and flight arrangements, please contact trade@sa.gov.au in the first instance.

How do I get to and from my hotel and the event venues?

Adelaide is a walking city! Most hotels and venues for MP23 are all within a short walking distance from one another so be sure to pack comfortable shoes to help you get around with ease. That said, the MP23 Conference, Breakouts and Gala Finale day (Wednesday 1 November 2023) will be held across a combination of venues in Adelaide CBD and the Adelaide Hills. Transfers will be coordinated to facilitate participation in the whole Conference, Breakout and Gala Finale program.  This includes:
  • 12:00pm sharp - transfers from the Adelaide Convention Centre to various locations in the Adelaide Hills where the breakout sessions will be held
  • From 5:00pm - transfers from the various locations in the Adelaide Hills where the breakout sessions will be held to Lot 100
  • From 9:00pm onwards - return transfers from Lot 100 to Adelaide CBD (locations to be advised)
Delegates are discouraged from partially attending elements of the full program. If absolutely necessary alternative transfer arrangements can be independently coordinated and funded if delegates wish to travel to/from the Adelaide Hills at times outside the official schedule. The same applies if delegates miss the official transfers provided above.

What is the dress code?

MP23 will be hosted in Adelaide towards the end of spring, when day time temperatures are a pleasant average of 21.7°C. ATEC advises delegates to dress comfortably with a light jumper or jacket for air-conditioned venues and the cooler evening temperatures.

  • Welcome function (Monday 30 October 2023): smart casual
  • B2B meetings and conference sessions (Tuesday 31 October and Wednesday 1 November): smart casual professional attire with a light jacket or jumper as the Adelaide Convention Centre is air conditioned
  • CEO Forum: smart casual
  • Gala finale:  our gala function is a little different this year!  It will be held at at Lot 100, Adelaide Hills the after the conference component at the Adelaide Convention Centre (morning) and breakouts at four venues (afternoon) in the Adelaide Hills. As delegates will leave the Adelaide CBD via pre-arranged transfers at midday and return to the CBD after 9.30pm, our advice is to arrive in the morning "dressed for the day and evening ahead". There will be no opportunity to return to the CBD to freshen up prior to the Gala event. Further, we highly recommend packing a jacket or jumper for the Gala as the venue features both inside and outside entertaining areas.

Tell me more about the B2B workshops?

This component of the event involves two sessions of 27 1:1 commercial pre-scheduled appointment sessions between Buyer and seller delegates. Sellers will have a designated table in the workshop room. In the lead up to MP23, delegates have already had the opportunity to preference and pre-select their appointment schedule. At the end of each 8-minute session buyers will move to the next table listed on their schedules. Seller delegates are allocated either an AM session (8am – 12.30pm) OR session PM session (1.10pm – 5.45pm) on Tuesday 31/10/23. Buyer delegates attend both sessions, with an opportunity of 54 appointments.

As a seller delegate, what marketing collateral should I bring?

  • In an effort to be more sustainable we are encouraging all delegates to "go green" and bring their marketing collateral electronically on their iPad/laptop. Please ensure you come fully charged on the day, however, there will be charging stations available if required.
  • We are also discouraging the need for prizes, giveaways etc. in an effort to reduce waste and our carbon footprint for the event.
  • Please note that no pull up banners or display signage are permitted unless you are an STO or Service Provider Partner with an allocated exhibition space.

As a seller delegate, what should I do during the time I’m not attending B2B appointments on Tuesday 31/1/23?

The MP23 program includes several supplier forums and presentations that will be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre. These sessions will run concurrently to the B2B meetings. This will enable sellers who have meetings in the morning to attend the afternoon sessions and vice versa.  Click here to view the program
