Hon Reece Whitby, Minister for Tourism
It is with great pride and enthusiasm that Western Australia will welcome the Australian and international tourism community for the Australian Tourism Export Council (ATEC) Meeting Place 2025 this October.
Business events act as a front door for trade and investment. Over three dynamic days, more than 500 tourism industry leaders, international buyers, and local suppliers will gather in our vibrant capital city, Perth, to engage in hundreds of face-to-face meetings and invaluable networking opportunities, while exchanging knowledge through the event’s thought-provoking conference program.
As the premier trade event for Australia’s tourism export sector, ATEC Meeting Place 2025 presents a fantastic opportunity to showcase Western Australia’s distinguished tourism experiences directly to the agents who sell Australia internationally. The event will allow the Western Australian tourism industry to connect with key international buyers, which is fundamental in driving international visitation and will strengthen our presence in priority markets.
Western Australia is a wonderful backdrop for ATEC Meeting Place 2025, with visitors having a colourful canvas of exploration before and after the event. Perth has an array of entertainment and dining options, along with popular tourism precincts, such as Fremantle, the Swan Valley, Elizabeth Quay, and the iconic Rottnest Island – renowned for its famous smiling quokkas.
I encourage visitors to stay longer and explore further, delving deep into the diverse beauty of our regions to garner a thorough understanding of Western Australia’s tourism offerings – from the towering forests and world-class wineries in the South West, to the ancient wilderness areas in our north, the captivating wildlife experiences found on our Coral Coast, and the rich tapestry of history and heritage waiting to be uncovered in the Goldfields.
On behalf of the Western Australian Government, I thank ATEC for its partnership in bringing Meeting Place 2025 to our extraordinary state. We look forward to showcasing the best of Western Australia and creating fruitful connections that will shape the future of our tourism industry.
I wish you all a wonderful stay in Western Australia.
We look forward to seeing you this October!
